Creator Program Terms

The SplatChat Creator Program lets you earn a share of platform revenue generated by conversations with characters you created and enrolled in monetization. Participation requires accepting these terms, completing identity verification where applicable, and completing payout onboarding with our payment processor (Stripe).

Each calendar month, SplatChat allocates a revenue pool equal to up to 40% of that month’s net paid revenue (paid subscriptions and credit purchases, less the direct cost of the compute consumed). The pool is divided among monetized characters in proportion to their qualified minutes.

A minute is qualified when all of the following hold:

• The character’s monetization status was active when the conversation happened.
• The paying user was signed in. Anonymous trial minutes do not qualify.
• The paying user was not you (the character’s creator) or an account you control.
• The character is in the standard content tier. Mature-tier characters are not eligible.

Because the pool depends on monthly platform revenue, the effective rate per minute varies month to month. We publish your qualified minutes and share in the creator dashboard. Usage patterns consistent with artificial inflation (including coordinated or automated usage) may be flagged, held for review, or disqualified.

• Payouts are processed monthly via Stripe Connect to your onboarded account.
• Earnings are held for 30 days after computation before they become payable.
• The minimum payout is $25. Smaller balances roll forward.
• You are responsible for taxes on amounts paid to you. Stripe collects required tax information during onboarding.

A character that uses a real person’s face or voice can only be monetized after verification that you are that person or hold their explicit written authorization, as described in the Biometric Data Policy. Monetizing an unauthorized likeness is grounds for immediate suspension, forfeiture of unpaid earnings, and account termination.

If a monetized character is removed or suspended for violating our policies, unpaid earnings attributable to it are forfeited. Amounts already paid for usage later determined to be fraudulent or in violation of these terms may be reversed or offset against future earnings to the extent permitted by law.

We may update these terms. Material changes take effect for future earnings periods and require re-acceptance of the new version before continued participation. Continued accrual after acceptance of a new version is governed by that version.
